Have you experienced Jazz at the Point yet?
Wine, music, and food at your local intimate theatre. What more could you ask for?
Jazz at the Point started 4 years ago in partnership with 2 Stone’s Events, a company run by the married duo Cal and Whitney Stone. It has evolved over the years to include an entire experience with 6 concerts in each series that showcases local artists and businesses.
The night starts out an hour before the first set is scheduled. Wine tasting tickets are distributed through the box office that are then exchanged for three different pours of wine of your choosing, inside the theatre. The band members sometimes float around the theatre, mingling with guests or warming up for the show. The wine is quickly whisked away before the show begins.
There’s just something about live music in our space. Once they start playing, the mood changes. People start swaying or tapping their feet. A familiar tune begins and patrons hum along. The bands perform right in the middle of our humble stage, taking over wherever we are in the build process for an upcoming show. The most challenging one to date was during The Ladies Foursome in 2017, where the band performed on our golf course!
After an hour or so of being entranced by the magic of music, it’s time to enjoy some cuisine from Northville’s Browndog Restaurant and Barlor. Delicious finger foods span the tables set up in the lobby, sometimes featuring their signature ice cream flavors. Their full menu features burgers, tacos, brunch, and most importantly, interesting and boozy flavored ice cream. Whether you are looking for something savory or sweet, the sampling of food offered during Jazz at the Point is sure to have you visiting their location in Northville or Plymouth soon.
The most recent addition to Jazz at the Point is a collaboration with the Northville Art House. Each concert sees a new artist featured, turning our lobby area into their personal art gallery. Patrons are free to enjoy it throughout the evening and are encouraged to support the artist if they see something they like.
Tickets can be purchased for any concert in the series. However, seating charts will not be available until a month or two out. Those who purchase tickets ahead of time will be called by the box office to confirm seating arrangements when available.
