ABOUT
The old theatre adage says, ‘the show must go on’. In the case of the Cornley Polytechnic Society’s production of “The Murder at Haversham Manor", it might be time to stop and ask ‘should the show go on’? Join the ten cast and crew members as they desperately try to bring their murder mystery back from the brink of disaster for you, their beloved audience. Lines will be flubbed, actors will go missing and the set may just fall apart.
Winner of the 2015 Laurence Olivier Award for Best New Comedy, The Play That Goes Wrong delivers exactly what it promises to - complete and total comedic disaster.
Some of the actors featured in this production are members of the Hillberry Graduate Program at Wayne State University.

Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer & Henry Shields’ Olivier Award-winning show, The Play That Goes Wrong, first opened in the West End in September of 2014. Receiving widely positive reviews, it continues its run in the West End and has made multiple tours across the UK to this day. The show hopped over the pond in March of 2017 to open on Broadway with the original London cast. The production finished its run on Broadway in January 2019, only to find a new home off-Broadway in February of 2019. Having seen the show on tour in Detroit a few years ago, Tipping Point Theatre kept an eye out for the production rights to open up to regional theatres. When they became available last year, we jumped at the opportunity to tackle this hysterically disastrous show.
